What happens inside the outdoor unit is a change of ground state of the refrigerant inside the air conditioning system. The refrigerant changes from a liquid to a gas moves within the coil from inside to outside, where the compressor compresses the gas at high pressure. When this occurs, the gas also becomes very hot. The hot gas leaving the compressor and then begin to travel through the long tube into the condenser coil. As the gas cools switch back to a liquid state within the re-start the cycle again.
The big problems start when the condenser coil is being blocked with dirt so that the hot gas in the condenser coil is not cooled enough to turn the hot air back into a liquid form. When this occurs, the cooling method is not the case, then the air conditioner works, but is not cooling.
The compressor is becoming very hot and the end result is the collapse of a compressor. Due to these reasons, the condenser coil must be kept clean and free of debris at all times when the air conditioner is turned on. Cleaning the coil is a fairly basic process, here are some guidelines to follow to do this. To wash the coil of a few simple tools are needed. A garden hose with a mouthpiece, keys to remove the condenser fan, a garden sprayer to put the washing liquid. It is starting to eliminate the power of outdoor unit.
There must be an off switch of some kind near the condenser. After you remove the condenser fan. Usually this will be the top of the unit. The fan can usually be left out carefully without cutting the cables to the motor.
Carefully dip the coil using a garden hose. If you have high pressure water in which it resides to be careful that the water pressure does not bend the fins on the coil. These are so thin and fragile.
